Pure English Speaking Ride - Чисто Англоязычная Покатушка
Основная идея покатушки - разговариваем только на английском языке.
Все знают, о такой штуке, как языковой барьер. Это когда у вас и словарный запас есть, и знания какие-то. А разговариать на языке не получается. Обычно самое сложное - это начать разговаривать. Именно поэтому мне так понравилась идея Джона (jlr) о покатушках для преодоления языкового барьера.
Назвать решили по аналогии с ЧЖП и ЧМП: Чисто Англоязычная Покатушка - ЧАП-1.
Первый раз будет экспериментальный: попробуем, посмотрим что получится. В процессе покатушки стараемся отбросить все стеснения, боязни, языковые комплексы и пробуем разговаривать на английском языке. Даже на очень плохом английском языке. Поверьте, главное начать, и дальше всё станет становиться всё легче и легче. "Языковой барьер" потому и называют барьером, что через него надо перепрыгнуть. Ну а мы перепрыгивать будем на велосипедах 
В общем вполне допускается неловкое э-э-э-кание, подбор слов, вопросы о том, как сказать что-то правильно и т.п. Желающие могут взять с собой словари (или закачать в телефоны).
Прогонять, конечно, никого не будем. Но большая просьба: свести использование русского языка при общении - к минимуму
Итак:
Meeting point is Olympic Counter near the Palace of Sports at Nemiga (link) at 19:00. Then we will cycle to Minsk Sea to a small picnic. Food and drinks can be bought at fuel station near Minsk-Arena.
The weather forecast for Tuesday is good enough. But we recommend to have some warmer clothes with you if you dont want to become an easy food for mosquitos. And nobody knows how many will go on our picnic.
John (aka jlr) will be our "language referee" as a native speaker. He is always open for any language questions, interesting phrases, discussions and so on. And there is Andrew, a doctor from Great Britain, who we hope is going to join us in this ride.
Anyway ЧАП-1 is an experimental ride. Will see if it is interesting for VELOBY.NET

Today I was at the Children's Home where the British medics are working (Дом-интернат для детей-инвалидов с особенностями психофизического развития в Новинках).
The girls said that they really enjoyed the trip and that it was a high point of their stay in Minsk.
They are working here treating and caring for severely disabled children. The program is called SKIP Cardiff [Students for Kids International Projects].
